America Employed explores the state of employment in the United States. Learn about the latest insights, according to a recent Express Employment Professionals-Harris Poll survey. The topics in August covered companies’ plans to reskill employees and reasons employed job seekers are looking for new gigs.

The survey showed companies are reducing costs by leveraging in-house talent:
- 33% of companies attribute stagnant or declining hiring plans to budget constraints or the inability to hire.
- 71% of companies plan to offer company-led training sessions or programs either during or outside of working hours.

Concerning the reasons job seekers are looking for change, the survey indicated:
- Among job seekers, 44% commonly fear they won’t get the salary raise or increase they believe they deserve at their current workplace.
- Better compensation is a top reason job seekers are looking for new opportunities.
